New Faces At Air Life
As Air Life’s membership volume continues to skyrocket, our office staff has expanded to handle the increasing demand. Allow us to introduce the new additions to our Air Life family.

Software analyst tackles Air Life’s enormous database

Sue Moss
Sue Moss reviews a stack of renewal forms before entering the information in Air Life’s membership database.
With more than 25,000 members and patients in Air Life’s database, managing the computer system can sometimes be a daunting task. Fortunately, Air Life’s new software support analyst has been around the block a few times.

During the three years Sue Moss worked as the financial manager for the St. Charles Medical Center Foundation, she saw her department through a transition from one software system to another. When Air Life adopted the same system last year, Sue began working as a contract employee through her own computer services company. Now a regular part-time employee at Air Life, she enjoys the challenge of setting up and maintaining the system.

“I like software development and watching the system mature,” she said. “I enjoy streamlining processes to save time and money.”

New receptionist helps keep Air Life customers smiling

Nancy Zurflu
Nancy Zurflu files an Air Life patient record while balancing on her crutches.
Despite the broken leg currently hindering her, Nancy Zurflu is quick on her feet. That speedy efficiency is one reason Air Life’s new receptionist has quickly become a vital member of the team.

Joining the team in October as a temporary receptionist, Zurflu became a permanent fixture in the office in March. Before that, she did similar secretarial work for the chiropractic clinic and a car dealership that she and her husband owned and operated.

“I think having your own business makes you a little more aware of how people want to be treated,” she said. “Everyone likes to be treated well and know that you’re taking care of them.”
