Harney District Hospital’s EMS covers the above mentioned transport situations for your entire household. For only $45 annually, you and your family will have coverage. Even with insurance, ambulance costs are seldom paid in full. Medicare, for example, only covers 50-80% of ambulance charges, depending on the service provided. With your Harney District EMS Membership you won’t have to worry about non-covered insurance charges. Your insurance payment, if any, will be accepted as payment in full.
Harney District EMS is committed to providing quality care in the community. Harney District EMS has specially trained Paramedics and modernized equipment. Paramedics can obtain and transmit to the emergency department physician a complete 12 lead EKG (which allows early identification of a heart attack) before the patient ever reaches the emergency department.
